A Complete Look at Profiting from Google Adsense (Complete Guide for Beginners)
Introducing Google Adsense?
Adsense is an advertising company affiliated with Google, by subscribing to it, you as a publisher (owning a site) can make profits, by placing ads on your site.
In order to understand the idea more precisely, we had to define Google Ads (which has recently changed its name to Google Ads).
Google Ads: It is a subsidiary of Google, through which all marketers or advertisers can advertise to get visitors for any marketing purpose, and this is what is meant by Google Ads representing the other side of Google Adsense.
In fact, Google Adsense acts as an advertising mediator between advertisers who want to get visitors, and publishers who want to get profit by displaying these ads on their own sites.
This is done through a very smart targeting system, where ads appear on your site and are compatible and relevant to what you offer on that site.
The company that organizes the process of buying visitors from Google is called Google Ads, and the company that organizes the process of placing ads in the common sites in this system is called Google Adsense, and this company will deal with it as a publisher.
In fact, on this topic, we will not talk about the Google advertising exchange system, whether Google Adsense or Google Ads as a company, but we are here to talk about this topic from the angles that serve our topic about profit from Google Adsense , by creating a website and owning it.

What do you need to start earning from Adsense?
The first is the idea of creating a good website
Above all, and most importantly, you have to choose the idea of creating a website that matches your personal interests, in case you are going to write the content yourself.
In the event that you will use others, you must ensure that there is a continuous source of content for your site.
You should also choose the idea of creating a website that has a demand from the public. In this way, you can use the Google tool to find out the search rate for the keywords that your site will address.
Second - Buy hosting and domain name
There are many options at this stage, and they are suitable for all users. If you do not have enough money to buy paid hosting and a domain name, there is another way, which is to create a website on the free Blogger platform.
But if you have a surplus of investment, you should buy a paid hosting and choose a domain name for your site, and this will help you to quickly appear your blog and archive it in various search engines and quickly accept it with Google Adsense to display ads on it and profit from it.
Third - Create a website
But if your choice is to create a site with a paid hosting and domain name, you should refer to the two topics below:
1- How to create a website (you will find all the information and important points for creating a website).
2- Information about creating a WordPress site (you will find a simple and easy explanation and illustrations for the work of a WordPress site).
We will assume here that you have chosen WordPress as the tool for making your site.

Acceptable site specifications in Google Adsense
In this part, I will address a set of criteria that you must apply to your site before you start registering for Google Adsense.
In order to be accepted into the Google Adsense program, make sure that you have a site that applies the following:
1- A site that contains exclusive and valuable content that complies with our policies Google Adsense policies
You have to offer something that will really benefit your visitors, this way you will get visitors to your site on the one hand, and on the other hand this is what Google puts as a priority in measuring the quality of all the services provided, including Google Adsense of course.
You should also create content that complies with Google AdSense policies as there are some types of content that are prohibited from participating in Google AdSense .
In terms of quantity, many are wondering how many articles are required to apply for Google Adsense subscription.
This question does not have a definitive answer, but it is preferable that your site contains a good number of articles, say at least 30 articles for example, but remember that this element works with the rest of the elements, and cannot be relied on independently.
2- A well-designed website that is easy to visit
The visitor must have a good experience in dealing with your site, to be accepted in Google Adsense and this includes a good design, simple and compatible with all devices.
Also, the pages of your site should be linked together to facilitate the visitor's transition between the pages of the site.
3- A site that contains administrative pages that serve the visitor
- Contact us page: which serves the user directly when he wants to communicate with the site administration.
- Terms and Conditions page: which explains what the visitor must follow when using your site.
- Privacy Policy page: which explains to the visitor how the site deals with its data, and it should be noted here that you must indicate in this document that you are working as a publisher with Google Adsense and that your site contains ads belonging to Google.
- A page about the site (About Us): which contains the story of creating the site and the goals it seeks to achieve through the content provided.
If you are feeling a little overwhelmed by these pages, not to worry, the Contact Us page can be found using a simple WordPress plugin like Contact Form 7 .
As for a page about the site or about us, there is no need to write on it except by answering the question "Why did you create this site?" And the goals you want to achieve for your site visitors.
4- The site receives a large number of visitors
This of course depends on the quality of the content on the one hand, and on your marketing plan to attract visitors on the other.

Most Popular Places to Place Adsense Ads on Your Site
Now that your AdSense account has been accepted, you should start placing ads on your site.
Here are the most important and popular places on your site to place AdSense ads:
1- Bottom of the head
This area is a strategy for placing Adsense ads which is mostly the width of the site page, which is usually 90 * 720, which is on almost all pages of the site.
2- Top of the bill
A bit like the ad under the header but less important.
3- Sidebar
The size is 250*300 or 336*280, and it can be placed on many pages according to your WordPress theme design and it can be the homepage, article page, section pages or hashtags.
4- Amidst the topics
This ad belongs to a relatively new type that hears native ads, appears appropriate to display the list of articles, and its colors and dimensions can be controlled.
5- Inside the content of the topics
It also belongs to the original ads, it fits the way the content of the article is presented and its appearance is relatively manageable.
It is worth noting that there are companies that specialize in this type of ads, which is called original ads.
Note: If you are using a responsive WordPress theme for all screen sizes, you must configure your ads to be responsive as well.
Explain the types of Google Adsense ads
In this part, I will explain to you the types of ads that Google Adsense provides for you to choose the ads that you want to place on your site.
1- Text & display ads
For text and image ads, which are often used under the header, above the footer and in the sidebar as mentioned earlier, to have a suitable size for all types of screens, you should choose the Responsive option while setting up the ad.
2- In-feed ads
This type of ad is intended to be placed in the featured articles list, either on the categories page or hashtags you can make the appropriate settings in size and dimensions to exactly match the width of the articles in the articles list.
3- In-article ads
4- Matched content
This type of advertisement is intended to be placed below the content of the topics so that they appear as suggestions for other topics that the reader may prefer.
It should be noted here that not all sites participating in AdSense are allowed to use this type of ads.
To make sure this type of Adsense ads are available for your site go to setup page in your Adsense account then click on My sites and click on Matched content, you will see a green check mark in front of your site name on this page in your account.
5- Auto ads
This is a different and new type of ads that can be used for all pages of the site in general, but it is intended for mobile visitors only, and it appears according to a special formula determined by Google Adsense based on the experience of each individual visitor.
To activate it, copy the code and place it in a text widget, in the same way as the new AdSense account activation code and you can access it through "My Ads" and then "Auto Ads".
There are many types of ads that fall under it, the most important of which are:
- Fixed Anchor ads
It is a small ad bar that is pinned to the bottom of the page, so when the visitor makes a scroll bar it is pinned in place, and the visitor can hide it by clicking on it from the top in the middle.
- Full screen Vignette ads
Which is often an image ad that covers the entire content of the site and appears on top of the content itself. You can exit it by clicking the x above.
Important tips and points about working as a publisher with Google Adsense
1- When you receive a rejection letter, work out the reasons for rejection and apply again, also if the latter is also rejected, improve your site and apply again.
2- In order to work as a publisher with Google Adsense you must have a website with valuable and unique content, and you must also continue to provide your site with good and valuable content, as working with Adsense is a continuous work, not a phased one.
3- Do not violate Google's policies, even if you find some sites doing so without punishment. The risk here will be sacrificing your account and its balance, and you can view Google AdSense policies from here .
4- Working as a partner with Google Adsense like any other work, it depends on experience and expertise, so do not stop when the level of your profits is not appropriate and the level of your effort, you have to try and follow up and develop your experience and information and your profits will improve.
5- Invest in visitors to increase your profit rate.
Whenever you find a good channel to buy visitors, and you can make a profit margin (the difference between buying visitors and Adsense earnings) invest in this channel.
6- Google AdSense will give you 68% of the revenue you get from advertisers.
7- Earnings are calculated either on the basis of clicks on ads, or on the basis of impressions (that is, visiting the page on which the ad is located and seeing it), so you will find in your account two types of earnings, one based on clicks, and the other on the basis of impression.
8- There are many ways to place ad units on your site, and this mainly depends on the way your site has been created.
In the case of using WordPress, these are the most important ways to place ad units:
1- By template (there are a lot of WordPress templates that come with a lot of features to place and manage AdSense ad units).
2- Through widgets (referenced above).
3- Through add-ons (the best addition from my point of view for placing Adsense ads is the addition of an ad inserter )
9- Google Adsense provides a lot of payment methods, which you can choose from to receive your monthly earnings.
Note: You will get the previous month's earnings on the 21st of the following month, for example, your January earnings will be sent to you from Google Adsense on February 21st.
Here are the most important ways that Google Adsense provides to pay monthly profits:
A- Wire Transfer
You must have a bank account to get your earnings through it.
B- Checks
It does not require a bank account, but it takes a long time to be spent compared to other methods.
C- Electronic Funds Transfer
Only available for some countries.
D- (EFT via Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA)
Only available for some countries.
H- Western Union (Western Union Bank Money Transfer)
Western Union is a bank that specializes in money transfer with branches in almost every city in the world, and is the fastest way to receive money.
To get more information about the payment methods provided by AdSense you should return to this topic where you will find a link for each payment method explaining the payment method in detail and the countries in which this method is available
What is the profit rate from Google Adsense?
Your profit rate from Adsense depends on a lot of factors, and here I will list the most important ones:
1- The area in which your site specializes.
We previously mentioned that there is a targeting system that Google follows in placing ads on your site so that the ads are compatible with the content of your site, and of course the price of a click varies from one advertisement to another depending on the field.
For example, a site that specializes in providing advice on forex, the level of its profit will be different from a news site, because the ads will differ in each site from the other.
2- The number of visitors to your site
This is a self-evident point, but we have to mention it here because of its importance, it is clear that the visitor component is a pivotal component of making a profit from Adsense so you find that many Adsense publishers mainly rely on Adsense Arbitrage for maximum rate with profit.
3- The quality of the content on your site
Which leads to the average stay of the visitor on the site, which enhances the chance of more ads appearing in front of them.
4- Where are the ads?
This is a regulatory process that depends on the design of the site, the nature of the visitors, and the nature of the content on the site as well.
5- The number of ad units per page within the site
There are some schools that say that 3 ad units per page is often better than 5 ad units.
6- Geographical distribution of your visitors
For visitors and the pressure of the Kuwaiti visitor on the AdSense advertisement, its price differs from the pressure of the Egyptian visitor on the same advertisement.
7- The nature of your website visitors
In terms of being male or female, their average age, interest and education level, it all of course depends on the niche you are talking about on your site.
8- Your use of the Allow & Block Ads feature.
This is a feature that Google AdSense provides to publishers, through which you can prevent some ads from appearing on your site and if you can block ads that pay less or are not relevant to your visitors, and instead show ads that pay more or are more relevant to your site content, it will increase your earnings.
9- Click-through rate for total ad views
Percentage or CTR: Means the percentage of clicks that ad units get from the total view rate of the pages where the ads are located.
This percentage is not fixed because it depends on several factors, including the visitor's stay on the page, including the relationship between the advertisement and the page's content, but in general, this percentage ranges on average between 1 and 3 percent.
In the end, in order to give you an answer in numbers, the click price in Arabic content ranges from 2 to 6 cents (this is the average click price, which is influenced by all the factors I mentioned above).
An illustrative and practical example to answer the question, how much will I earn from Adsense:
1- You have a website that talks about the world of fashion and gets 10,000 page views every day.
2- Your site's click-through rate is 3%.
3- The average click price for your website is 4 cents.
Based on this data, your total monthly earnings = total daily views of your website pages multiplied by click-through rate multiplied by average click price multiplied by the number of days in the month (30 days).
Applying this equation to our example, the site's total monthly revenue would be: 10,000 * 0.03 * 0.04 * 30 = $360.
Note: This is a rough example to illustrate the idea, but in fact, results vary with different variables, so even sites that talk about the same domain and get the same visitors may achieve somewhat different results, depending on other factors such as the quality of the content or where the ads appear... etc.
Here we have come to the end of our topic about earning from Google Adsense. I hope the topic interests you and helps you understand Google Adsense and how to benefit from it well.
Do not be stingy and make the topic not stop with you, but share it with your friends, as your participation in the topic may contribute to changing someone's life for the better.
